Wheeler from the Dead

Post by Dave » Thu Jun 18, 2009 3:08 pm

This 4 runner was just aching for some one to give it reason to breath again. So we found someone that would love to wheel this thing so here we go.

New engine, everything laying around the shop we can throw at it. End result 36'' TSL or Iroks, Davez front and rear suspension kits, 5.29 3rds, dual cases and so on..The catch "needs to be done in one month". We cant really get started until we make some room for it. Looks like we are scheduling it for July 18th. We will be gathering parts until then.

That's a clean body! I've always loved the white 1st gen Runners. Maybe I should paint mine!!

Needs an Irok track across the hood!!

It is missing the brake lights and the front marker lights. It would look totally cool and retro with some Euro-style clear lenses and colored bulbs!! (first time I busted out my front marker lights, I was too poor to replace them, so I used a heat gun and bent some plexiglas and used amber bulbs and made my own Euro lenses! )

Formula Toyota 86 - stuff from Marlin, lotsa stuff from Davez, stuff from Longfield, junkyard elockers, and the frame, motor, tranny, and t-cases were free!

Wow

From dead to wheelin' in a month.....good luck.....at least it's mostly still there.

I guess if you're gonna swap in EFI you'd have to tear it down pretty far anyway. So in that regard you've actually got a head start. It was born a SFA truck, so no cutting and grinding, another head start. Interior is already gutted pretty far, so you've got a blank slate there.....

Mostly it's just gonna be drivetrain, cleanup, and cosmetics, I'm pretty sure you could have that done in about 20-30 hours total.....Get crackin' yo.
Formula 4 on the back burner.....was supposed to debut @ KOH 2010.....but ***, I belong to the ELITE at least!!!
